The Assistant Director of Web & Digital Media is responsible for managing the web-based operations and project management process for departments and programs in the School of Science on a Drupal 7 CMS platform. This position oversees the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of School web site and content management system Drupal 7; provides leadership, defines and refines processes, and oversees internal and external developers and media production personnel charged with producing web sites, web content, and digital media for the School; ensures that web projects achieve School communication and marketing goals, are technically sound, completed on time, and meet client needs and expectations; and develops and implements documentation and training on new web applications for faculty and staff.

This position is the project manager responsible for needs assessment, analysis of system designs, information architecture, graphical user interface designs, usability testing, and evaluative controls of web site statistics. This position creates and implements plans to organize and monitor the School's affiliated web sites (e.g., for student organizations, faculty, research centers, etc) and web and social media usage statistics and works collaboratively with the School's IT team to facilitate web and database server administration. The assistant director also handles email template creation and management in the Salesforce customer relationship management (CRM) systems used for recruitment and marketing.

Required Qualifications

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 5 years of experience in web and digital media development, plus 2 years of direct experience in project management and 2 years of strong knowledge of site design and usability principles, issues and techniques.
